Everyone likes a Good Story!Preschool story time sessions are held at GPL year round in the Community Room. No registration is required. Each session is approximately 30 minutes. See Program & Events for weekly themes. View Current Storytime Schedule. Stories at School, Too! Children's Librarian, Mrs. Buehrer, visits both Galion and Iberia Elementary schools weekly during the school year to share new materials and stories. Technology for All Ages Two Macintosh computers are available in the children's room with over 50 educational programs including: Oregon Trail, 101 Dalmatians, Dino Park Tycoon, Math Tek and several Living Book Titles. Computers can also help with those tricky homework assignments. Titles such as The Way Things Work, 3-D Atlas, Family Doctor, Eyewitness Virtual Reality Bird and Cat, Smithsonian America, CD-ROM Encyclopedias and more will help answer questions. An additional Macintosh is available for word processing. Internet access is also available in the children's room. Kids' Links and School Links provide a starting point for children using the Internet both at home and in the library. |
